We are looking for a digital specialist with experience across all channels with particular emphasis on social media channels, website optimisation, web analytics, PPC and SEO.

This is an important and busy role in which you will have ultimate responsibility for our social media and web presence.

You will be the trusted digital advisor across best practice in website optimisation, analytics, PPC and SEO. Leading a lot of digital marketing initiatives, you will have excellent knowledge of industry best practices, love digital marketing and understand the power of interpreting detailed data analysis.

You will be familiar with the main social media platforms particularly Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Working to build the followers on these platforms and grow the brand awareness and engagement will also form a key part of this role.

• Optimising our website to maximise conversion and user engagement. Create content for key areas on the site where appropriate.
• Analyse visitor behaviour to inform development priorities aimed at improving conversion rates and take charge of site tagging and tracking using Google tag manager.
• Ensure the accuracy of website analytics and reporting performance appropriately to the business.
• Investigate paid search strategy to understand what the benefit would be and how best to use it to gain growth and market share. Make proposals for approach.
• Own the SEO performance of the website. Liaising with the Web Developers to deliver technical amendments, monitor and improve the natural positions and build a strong link profile.
• Take responsibility for social media channels working to build followers and engagement across the platforms. Grow the channels and use reporting to analyse and track that growth.
• Create commercial engagement with salons, stylists and consumers that drive traffic to social media and the website creating sales opportunities and leads
• Develop content that is inspiring for hairstylists and consumers leading to engagement with the brand

• 2+ years’ experience in management of digital channels
• Experience of managing websites and building engagement on sites
• Analytical experience and the ability to use data to agree future marketing strategies
• Experience of working with Google Analytics
• Knowledge of running PPC campaigns & SCO
• Retail experience preferably in B2C business
• Excel skills



We are looking for an experienced Chief Scientist who has worked in a commercial organisation within the personal care/beauty/haircare sector.  This individual should have the ability and leadership skills to develop our existing team of experts and complement their skills.

This is a leadership position with a seat on the Board in a designate capacity.

We have an ambitious new product pipeline and it will be your responsibility to deliver that pipeline covering colour, colour remover, shampoo, conditioners and treatments.

Expertise in formulations will be essential combined with a review of existing products and technology to identify potential refinements and future product launches.

We have an extensive patent portfolio so a good understanding of how this process works is valuable as well as developing new technologies that can be patented.

As a brand that is new to professional salons globally, this role will provide a fast paced, challenging environment. We are also looking at the opportunity of developing a separate brand for high street retail. This requires leadership and the ability to deliver leading edge science in a commercial way to satisfy multiple markets.

The vision to identify and satisfy trends allied with technology to create significant points of difference for our brands is also desirable.


A strong chemistry background is essential allied to extensive commercial experience working for a brand or manufacturer in the hair care or personal care market, preferably with knowledge of dyes.

A good understanding of the practical aspects of formulating cosmetic/hair products as well as an in-depth knowledge of the chemistry behind them particularly dyes and proteins.

The individual we are looking for will have credibility and gravitas and is likely to be highly regarded by virtue of publications, papers and lectures with the capability of making scientific presentations.

Experience of large scale manufacture is also desirable.

This is currently a small team of very capable people with big ambitions so the person we are looking for will need to be able to lead whilst also being very hands on. The ability to communicate at all levels is an absolute must.


  • Bring expert scientific knowledge to the existing team particularly in formulations
  • Deliver the planned new innovative product pipeline in keeping with our critical path
  • Initiate the development process on new products
  • Bring a commercial pedigree to the R&D team
  • To act as a conduit between hairdressers, distributors and retail partners with the science team
  • Be a key figure in developing education tools for product use
  • Coordinate all cosmetic testing and support claims and ensure all documentation required for compliance is completed appropriately

Act as an ambassador for Perachem in all dealings with third parties


  • PhD in Chemistry or a chemical subject
  • Good working knowledge of dye and protein chemistry
  • A minimum of 12+ years in the cosmetic/personal care industry
